Two Graduations, a Wedding, and Beyond...

I’m finally sitting down to write my latest blog post. I’ve known what I’m going to write about for weeks, but life kept getting in the way.

The intention to write was there, just no follow through. In the past, I would have thought negatively about my struggles to finish but not anymore!

I know the next two months will see lots of change for my family. Some days, I just want to slow down time. It feels like life is coming at me too quickly.

I don’t want to stop the clock from moving forward. I just know that what’s ahead will create lots of change in my world, and I’m not sure what that’s going to look like.

I’m usually okay with a certain level of uncertainty, but I’ve never been through this much change at once.

Within the next two months, we are celebrating a high school graduation, a college graduation, and a wedding. Oh yeah, we are also close to the end of a two and a half month remodel.

While everything is exciting, I want to make sure I’m taking the time to really “feel into” all that’s happening in my world. I don’t want to miss any of it!

Maybe a girl’s weekend is what I should be planning in addition to a grad party!

With two of my kiddos moving on to the next chapter in their lives (and one already there), I want to take a deeper look at my life.

How do I move forward knowing that I’m going to have an empty house? What’s the best way to deepen my relationship with myself? How can I redirect the energy I put toward my kids, now towards myself?

As I’m going through all this transition, I’m feeling called to share my experiences with you. Some may be more relatable to you than others, depending where you are on your journey.

I plan on sharing many parts of my life with you. I want to share my vulnerabilities, so you can see that you are not alone in life. It’s so easy to fall into the trap of believing what we see on Facebook and Instagram as reality. But that’s just not the case!

I feel that people are craving real conversation, and I want to be part of that conversation. I want to connect over what’s really going on in our lives.

Do you feel that you aren’t showing your real self to the world? I’m tired of showing up in a way that doesn’t feel aligned with who I am. Oscar Wilde says it best with his quote “Be yourself, everyone else is already taken.”

I also want to talk about how we can create a life that is more fun than we could have ever imagined. I feel it's time we stop taking life so seriously and start living for today. It’s just so easy to take life waaay too seriously!

My desire is to support you in creating a life where you can show up as yourself, create deep connection through honest conversation (starting with yourself), and have fun along the way!

What’s one thing you can do this week to create a greater connection with yourself? Remember there’s no right or wrong answer, so let me know in the comments below.
