What do you see when you look at your life? Do you find yourself observing your life and seeing in yourself all the ways you don’t measure up?
Have you created an impossible standard for yourself? Sometimes, we create an insurmountable metric that we will always fail to meet.
You may feel that you’re not enough in some area of your life, and when you’re in this mindset your life can feel less than desirable.
And when you’re in that defeatist mindset, it can feel like a marathon to pull yourself out of it.
But what if it didn’t have to be that way?
The truth is that we all have strengths AND weaknesses. Our realistic sides recognize this to be true, but that nagging inner voice struggles to recognize that “and.” The more we can accept this to be true, the sooner we can see the goodness inside ourselves.

Everyone has strengths and that includes you! Sometimes, we just have to make a conscious decision to concentrate on our strengths.
If I asked you to sit down and write your strengths in a list, would you find it to be a challenge?It may not always be easy for you to identify them, but I bet if you ask those closest to you it will be easy for them to list them.
With their outside perspective, they have the ability to see in you what you can’t see in yourself.
Try spending some time in reflection and create a mental or written “I’m awesome” list. I’ve done this and found it to be very eye opening.
Being grateful for your strengths increases over time. It may feel challenging to you at first, but stick with it and it gets easier in time.
